The RPII course is designed for school based candidates who are required to carry the routine (daily/weekly) and operational (monthly/quarterly) inspections, management or maintenance of their outdoor playground equipment – e.g. contractors working in schools, school site managers, PTA members, head teachers, nursery teachers.

The course forms the specific award for school staff and covers the checks carried out on outdoor playground equipment typically installed in schools (it does not cover the full range of equipment covered by the other RPII Inspector Courses), the hazards and risks that may arise and the actions that can reduce or eliminate these.

The examination for accreditation is an image based written and practical assessment.
