This course is designed for candidates who are required to carry out the operational inspection (monthly/quarterly) of children’s playgrounds – park rangers/keepers, playground inspectors. It is also suitable for maintenance operatives, managers and supervisors who wish to have a greater knowledge of the relevant European Standards and legislation relating to playgrounds. The operational playground inspection course will be delivered using a combination of theory and practical sessions and will equip candidates to undertake the RPII examination if required.
This course forms the intermediate award in operational playground inspection and covers the legislation and standards that underpin the inspection requirements, the inspection methodology, the hazards and risks that may arise and why.
The examination for accreditation to the RPII involves a practical inspection task and a written examination paper. Please note the cost of the course does not cover RPII accreditation costs.
